Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai set to smash all records Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai is going from strength to strength and one wouldn't be surprised if the film broke all Bollywood records in the long run. The Rakesh Roshan film, starring Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel, opened to 99.84 per cent in its first week and now in its seventh week is returning 100 per cent box office collections. The successful show of the film is all the more credible given the fact that it ran simultaneously with the Aamir Khan-starrer Mela and the Shah Rukh Khan effort Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani. While the Khans failed to ignite the magic at the B-O, Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai keeps consolidating its position with each passing week. Even as other recent releases like Badal, Pukar and Hey Ram have bitten the dust at the all-India level. |

Synopsis : Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai is a tender-hearted love story about an upright young man who brings cheer, music and warmth into the life of a sweet-natured girl. For the innocent twosome, life is almost like paradise till fate intervenes. Separated by circumstances beyond their control, the girl is in a state of shock. Her very existence is meaningless without that wondrous feeling called love. But all is not lost yet. The girl, who cannot come terms with losing her beloved, Travels across the seven seas in a bid to erase her dream-like memories. Guess who has now been signed up for the Coke campaign?
The current heart-throb of the nation, Hrithik Roshan.
Apparently, the star had been approached for the same a few months ago. But papa
Rakesh was so confident of the film's success -- and of
Hrithik's -- that he kept stalling the offer. Now when the offer has come up,
the proud papa is in a better shape to negotiate. Apparently, the figure that
Hrithik is being paid is so astronomical that all our other mega-stars are
definitely going to get more sleepless nights.
While on Hrithik, can his heroine be far behind? When
last heard, Amisha Patel's mother, the voluble Asha Patel, was
seen to be crying on every available shoulder. The lady was cribbing how Amisha
had been given a raw deal, how some of her important scenes were chopped off at
the editing table and so was a hit number which had been filmed on Amisha. And
since it was a solo number, it would have diverted the attention of the
audiences from Hrithik -- so, it was gone, complains the over-zealous mama. Now
do we see Babita and Kareena snigger in the
background?
