three years in the making and makes for an interesting cast and story.
Going off the theme of copying, Josh is a lift off of Westside Story, so
who better to lift tunes for the remake than Anu Malik himself? Now, one
mistake that Anu Malik made sure not to repeat in such a hyped-up and
much-awaited for, big cast flick is singing any of the songs himself.

Set against the backdrop of Goa, Venus Records & Tapes Ltd.'s JOSH
is a story about energy, youth, love and the zest for life. Max (Shah
Rukh Khan), a cool Goan dada, is the leader of Eagle gang, which is
constantly up in arms with the new inhabitants of Vasco town, Prakash (Sharad
Kapoor), and his pack of the Bichhu gang. The two gangs revel in this
enmity and love to showoff their strength to each other. |

Mansoor Khan has
the reputation of being a different kind of director.
And now this different kind of director is all set to storm the marquee with a different tale - Josh. Josh does blaze a unique trail. For one, it doesn't star Mansoor's famous cousin Aamir Khan who has been a constant fixture in all his earlier films, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar and Akele Hum Akele Tum. harder. There were times when his confidence staggered but he did not
give up
his original idea because he was sure that ideas like the one he had
worked on do not fail if they are pursued with perseverance and hard
work and above all the Josh (excitement) to make the film that would
appeal to every section of society. 
me to buy the album off the bat. Now the singers are a good variety,
ranging from Udit to Alka (the traditional voices) to more pop-like
(non-traditional) singers of Hema Sardesai and Abhijeet, and fresher
voices of Suresh Peters and Mano, to the most interesting singer of all,
Shahrukh himself. 
and heroine play siblings? Now that's something to look forward to! Added to it is the game of one-upmanship between Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan. Imagine SRK's fate if the movie falls flat on its face.
